This is a head study of a model. I was able to accomplish the drawing with charcoal pencils and eraser. The technique used was the reduction method.

A head study of a elderly model. I used charcoal and toned paper. The technique used was to lightly draw the figure then use a brush and charcoal stick to apply value.

A study of the human eye done with graphite and vellum paper. This drawing help me learn the variety of eye and eyebrow shapes.

Another study of the human feature this one is of the ear. The drawing was accomplish with charcoal pencil and white chalk. Each ear demonstrate the different shapes and structure of the human ear.

A nose drawing of my studies of the human facial features. I drew the nose with charcoal pencils and vellum paper. Each nose I wanted to incorporate different angles to fully understand the shape and form.

This is a landscape study drawn from life. On a cold march day I venture out to the park in front of a pond to study landscaping. I used grey toned paper and chalk pastel. The drawing took me an hour to accomplish and another hour to color.

This is a still life of a pine apple. The drawing I was focusing to use line weight to create the shape and value.
