Exploded view of prolab model in style of Doug Chang - This product was designed as a hand-held shopping aid for supermarkets. The exploded view started out as an engineering drawing to BS8888. It was then photocopied and each section was cut out and rendered seperately using tonal grey markers and stuck back to the original. The parts were then outlined in black to keep the image free-flowing. The copied style is that of Doug Chang, the designer behind the Star Wars films.
Prolab model of hand-held shopping aid - This aesthetic model was created using a variety of model making techniques. The material used was prolab, a light material consisting of very fine particles for a smooth finish. The model was split into sections defined by colour change shown on the hand rendered exploded view. The parts were then primered and sprayed, then re-assembled using double-sided tape.
