Windtunnel Modeling in Fluid Mechanics

This project investigates the flow of air around a circular cylinder through computational and practical analysis. The source of the air flow is a windtunnel, similarly used in automotive and aerospace industries for testing. Firstly, the problem is designed and modelled by means of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) within ANSYS software. The model is simulated to determine the pressure and velocity distribution around the cylinder. The model is then validated through an experimental
procedure where a circular cylinder is placed inside a low speed windtunnel and air flow is generated.
