Polar is a conceptual vehicle designed to break the Antarctic speed world record and inspire a new breed of Polar Transportation Vehicle. Iconic, Functional and Robust - Polar completed the Antarctic crossing in a new standard of 39hrs 54mins, knocking nearly 30hrs off the previous record of 69hr 21mins. Supercharged - powered by Bio Fuel, and employing state of the art solar and wind turbine technologies, Polar featured a crush proof cabin with internal and external cages, ice 'crevace' bars and snow anchors. The original prototype vehicle later spawned a special one-off 'dark camo' version commissioned by a US car collector. Polar was the subject of a 2 part Discovery Channel documentary. Work continues on a proposed high performance road legal version.
