Behind the door is a custom built furniture piece for the Professor to store her art in.
The tall cabinet next to the desk serves as a major equipment storage center. On the side of the cabinet shown is where the microwave and refrigerator are stored. From the opposite direction, is the storage for the printer/scanner, trash and recycling bins, paper shredder, and storage for loose papers.
On the side of the tall cabinet is a small cork tile for pinning up temporary notes. The tall cabinet also functions as a display shelf for personal photos.
Coat hooks on the wall next to the desk provide easy storage of coats and purses. Also, above the asymmetrical bookcases are the diplomas of the professor.
A cozy leather chair was added to the room as a space for the professor to use while reading through research papers.
The custom designed art table was built to meet the needs of the professor. Since the professor makes art in the office as well as handling administrative tasks, a separate art table was a must. The table has a large roll-out that can temporarily store large art pieces as well as some art supplies. The end of the table has cubbies that store the rest of the art supplies. The large bulletin board is used for temporarily displaying artwork. There is also a large pin-up system on the wall behind the art table for more art.
The leather ottoman has another small ottoman inside. The larger ottoman has a reversible lid that doubles as a tray. his allows the professor to rearrange small pieces of furniture to facilitate her needs.
