After a 3 year run of packing their product inside custom wood crates that I had designed, Rinnai asked for a cost reducing option that would meet the same ISTA structural parameters already achieved by the wood crate. This is the final design I developed utilizing a 2-piece corrugated sleeve, top and bottom corrugated DST's, and strategically placed foam. It enabled us to trim the wood components down to top & bottom wood braces along with a standard 48x40 pallet. It also came with added benefit of print space for graphics. This design began production in 2019 for all future Demand Duo units.
