RSA Design Directions 2007-08 Winner: Sustainable Packaging - Re-usable battery packaging that enables the user to effortlessly recycle batteries and enables the manufacturer to meet the demands of the EU Batteries Directive. The pack releases a new battery only when a used one is inserted; creating a pack ready for recycling without the user having to change the usual interaction involved in changing batteries. The pack is posted back to the manufacturer where it symplifies the sorting process of different battery types and is reused or recycled
