The starting point of the project was finding a way of interaction between different functions by: unity, intersection, subtraction or addition. The last type was chosen because of the direct connection with the dramatic idea of a story. Mixed-use means that more than one program are working together in order to satisfy the user’s needs. We came up
with the name: The Story, and so, any story has characters (the functions); in order to make the concept stronger, each function is defined by a role and character.
The shops in the Ground floor and First Mezzanine – The Rhino.
Moving upward, the Second Mezzanine will be
populated by more elegant and intimate functions - The Flamingo.
The offices are going to take the higher volume in the building - The Giraffe.
