This was the cover art that I created for the album assignment. The band, "girls in dresses" is a small acoustic trio that a friend of mine plays in. Since they mainly perform acoustic covers in small intimate concerts, I went with a subdued color scheme using older floral patterns in the shapes of classic dresses, as well as a thin cursive font for the title and band name.

This is the full spread of things printed for the project. I decided to use a tri-fold format with an insert on one side (taken out and spread down on the bottom of the arrangement) and the actual CD in the insert in the other fold.

One assignment I was given was to design an album cover and several other elements of an actual printed and assembled album complete with a CD. I chose to do my design for my friend's band, "girls in dresses."
