Hanger Chair - The Hanger Chair is a chair I designed that is made out of 150 plastic tubular clothes hangers. It is supported by a frame that compliments the triangularity of the hangers, and has a support system that hold the hangers through tension. The hangers also conform to shape that supports the human body comfortably.
Connection - This was a design research driven project that received consultation from Philips. We focused on caring in the home in a near furture setting. Our home had interactive furniture, a digital timeline that stored digital media, and small recording devices to leave messages around the home.
Glide - This project was named "Designing under the influence". My Goal was to design a toaster that was my interpretation of what Dieter Rams may have designed. Then combine his style with that of Ron Arad to add a more contemporary style. Lastly, I added my own methodologies to achieve this final design. The concept was to have a new way of loading a toaster and provoke conversation.
Reconstructing the Classics - I designed this chair under the influence of Eero Saarinen's Tulip Chair. This was for a contest at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. My chair represented a possible redesign of the Tulip Chair if it was recreated in the present based on new material choices and technologies.
CD Clip - In this project I redesigned the basic CD sleeve found in CD binders. This new clip is enables the user to easily access CDs with one hand and view up to four CDs at the same time. I also designed this clip to be a single molded plastic part.
