I began by using the smudge tool along with the burn and dodge tools to remove the eyes. I then gave the image a less colorful tone. Next I selected each texture that would cover the skin. I changed the carpet to a green color and covered each section of the face. Next I covered my exposed neck with the leaf, which made it look organic. Finally I covered my chin with the patch of dead grass. For each texture I had to use the transform and warp tools to make it fit the face. After flattening the layers my face was ready to be copied into the background. Finally to create the background I applied an infrared preset using the black and white tool. I then burned shadows onto the sides of the trees. Finally I added my face and applied a blue and purple gradient going from top to bottom to the image.
