Of all natural disasters, earthquakes have caused the highest number of deaths in the last ten years. Due to the fact that the ratio of rescuers to the population is decreasing over time, residents would most likely be on their own for a period of time after a major earthquake. Through the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program, residents have the ability to save lives by providing simple treatment during a disaster. If we can help CERT members work easier and faster, the rescue process would be quicker and there would be fewer deaths from earthquakes.
