This motion piece, executed in Adobe AfterEffects, reflects the dark and mysterious tone of Massive Attack’s Risingson. The lyrics narrate the conscious of a man as he falls out of love with a woman. Standing in a sordid and grimy dance club, filled with promiscuity and devoid of any feeling, he realizes that his feelings for the woman who brought him there have gone. The graphics of the piece indicate the presence of the male and the female through color and use motion to establish tension between the two. Provocative, high contrast black & white imagery flickers intermittently and is occasionally interspersed with glimpses of corresponding skeletal figures to create a sinister and ghostly psychedelic ambiance.
