Cultural Skateboards
This is a lesson in designing using Pattern, Repetition, and Movement through the raw deck of a skateboard. Students are asked to find a culture they are interested, or can combine cultures to create a 2D design. THEY LOVE THIS PROJECT. At the end, our local store hangs the boards in their store. So much fun. For Intro Level I use a standard size deck. For 2D level I use a long board. They can choose different types like duck tail or etc...
