aerostat high tech ballooning - The "aerostat" was developed from the idea of building a flying research platform. This research platform had to be different from traditional aircraft with reference to economic and ecological aspects as well as concerning the user friendliness and flexibility.The reason for the decision to build a "lighter-than-air"-vehicle was the wide spectrum of use offered by the "aerostat" which is easier and more sensible to handle with an airship than with aircraft like helicopters or airplanes. The main group of users will be scientific institutions, private environment organisations, the confederacy or public departments.
