ABV (Alcohol By Volume) is a concept for a wine store with an emphasis on an intimate shopping experience for the visitor. To achieve this intimate effect the main space is holding nine freestanding volumes each creating a different atmosphere within, depending on what
they contain. This allows the visitor to experience an element of surprise when they enter each room, within the main room. The volumes are made of different color transluscent acrylic to create a layering effect from the front to the back of the store. These acrylic volumes turn into light boxes and serve as the main lighting source in the space along with floor to roof
glowing tubes that are found within most of the volumes. Each room holds its own purpose whether its an outdoor classroom, or specifically storing wine by type.
