ONT 620

This is a second generation ONT that I designed for AFC. It is an evolution of the ONT 610 above with an injection molded cover replacing the earlier sheet metal cover. Additional features included improved fibre and cable management features, improved thermal design to handle increased power dissipation, secure craft access only compartment for fibre connection, features to allow the ONT to be mounted into a third party outdoor enclosure specified by Verizon. Mechanical design was performed in Pro/Engineer. Thermal design was performed in Flotherm computational fluid dynamics software.
