This is a Multiple Dwelling Unit (MDU) that I designed for AFC. It is an ONT for buildings with multiple tenants. Mechanical aspects of this project included the following: sheet metal design, PCBA component keepouts and height restrictions, tolerance analysis, thermal simulation and design, connector selection and location, fibre and cable routing and management, EMI/RFI control, grounding, product labeling. Mechanical design was performed in Pro/Engineer. Thermal design was performed in Flotherm computational fluid dynamics software.
