Bayonet Connector
This is a bayonet connector designed for ITT/BIW. Traditional oil well connectors utilize coupling nuts with a very fine thread. It can take several minutes to fully tighten a coupling nut. This bayonet design allows full coupling in seconds with a spanner wrench. This design is patented under US7988479. Mechanical design was performed in Pro/Engineer.
