Transitional Crib - hard maple; 53”x28”x38”; 2002.
The important functional feature of this design is its ability to drop its sides to accommodate 3 different stages of an infant's growth. The uniquely shaped slats allow for the sides to pivot from a high position for newborns, a middle bed rail position as the child becomes older, and a low position for toddlers to climb in and out on their own.
