Account Update - Adding and Changing Features - UI for adding and changing VoIP features included a dynamic, scrolling Cost Calculator that tested extremely well with users and put actionable data at their fingertips. Usability tests proved this simple, elegant design for display of account hierarchy made complex data relationships intuitive to the user. It was also easy to implement and maintain in html. AT&T CallVantage Service won the 2005 PC Magazine Editor’s Choice Award, earning praise for it’s “easy to use interface”.

Feature Summary - CallVantage Account Updates - Master view of features updated through the Account Management website for AT&T CallVantage Service. Provides summary, allows direct update of some features, and serves as launching point for more detail on others. Cost calculator updates dynamically to display net result of changes.
Service Address Update - In any VoIP service, re-framing expectations and concepts surrounding 911 Service can be a tricky issue because it runs against deeply ingrained service stereotypes used in traditional wireline service. I designed a conceptual model for updating the Service Address of the equipment and explaining these esoteric, but vitally important, concepts to the user. The design was in compliance with new FCC regulations for VoIP services, and was lauded by development for its elegance and clarity.
Adding a User to AT&T CallVantage Service - VoIP Service Introduced several new concepts to telephone service. CallVantage Service included the ability to add additional lines, users, and virtual phone numbers that rang the primary or secondary line when called. Keeping this information hierarchy clear to the user was critical, especially as the service grew in complexity with offerings like Softphone and Small Business, which allowed up to eight phone lines.
AT&T CallVantage Service - Price Plan Comparison - Sometimes a designer needs to know when to compromise for the sake of meeting deadlines or because of short-term architecture constraints. Enhanced in later releases, this design filled an important user need early in the product's lifecycle, when it was most needed.
AT&T CallVantage Service - Phone Number Selection - Phone number selection is complex for telephone service providers, but a critical part of the ordering process, and a primary concern of potential customers. Users can choose to keep their existing number, or select from progressive sets of available numbers. The complexity of the data domain is hidden from the user to the fullest extent possible.
