Soleeze ventilation system
Soleeze is a product that aims to reduce the temperatures in rural housing in Bangladesh to aid the process of thermal comfortability by using natural convection, conduction and radiation. Due to constant flooding of homes in Bangladesh, the need for the development of the structural strength of housing has become increasingly important. Originally these houses were built using mud and thatch roofs, both of which provided weak structural integrity when exposed to harsh weather conditions.
Corrugated tin was one of the more common materials used in order to improve the structural strength of the houses, but such a material has led to a major issue in their internal environments. These tin sheets radiate heat from direct sunlight into the houses which become trapped and cause the temperatures inside the homes to spike. This can cause numerous health issues to occupants, and possibly even death.
