This podium was designed for my church. Besides looking good, the key design stipulation was portability as we have to pack in and out each Sunday. The top detaches and the base folds completely flat. I also designed and sewed a custom carrying case to keep it scratch free in our storage trailer. The base is red oak and the top is an upcycled, parota-wood coffee table top. All work completed by me with some machine assistance.
This bookshelf was a Christmas present for my wife. The design evolved in the construction phase but the key elements remained the same all the way through. The side rails are reclaimed hardwood floorboards. Posting this on Instagram, I got an order for another almost immediately. All work completed by me with some machine assistance.
