The intention of Flow is to help reduce the amount of food wasted each year, by following a user centred approach and focusing on the domestic refrigerator as a key-contributing factor. By introducing Flow’s technology into the refrigerator, the lower drawer is extended and raised to the user upon every interaction. Visual movement highlights the area that stores ‘high waste’ food items, in turn emphasising the need for their consumption. Additionally Flow improves not only visibility but also the user’s attitude towards food waste.
