Orbit lampshade maker
In a team of 5 we were challenged to design a machine that could make something. Within a matter of minutes the lampshade maker will wrap a spool of cotton wool around a pre-constructed acrylic globe. Creating a sense of theatre and making whoever is watching feel excited, nervous and thrilled at the same time. We wanted the products manufacture to be as important as the final product itself by making the process beautiful and memorable.
