How do you help encourage students, teachers, and parents alike to take a proactive approach to helping themselves, their students, or their children learn math? Branding my math manipulatives is an important step into making this solution real; one that can be taken to production and sold.
The brand was created by creating a brand persona and through determining a brand code. Interviews from my thesis project were used as the starting point for gaining empathy for the user base and learning what sort of message they would be drawn to with an educational brand.
Atle Math Sets focuses on providing students with a concrete understanding of something abstract and difficult to learn: mathematics. The logo contains three-dimensional type to emphasize this, and the photographs use hands as a way to communicate a hands-on, proactive approach to learning math.
