The project’s concept was the product of a studio course taken earlier that spring in which we each coordinated with individuals at the Hatfield Marine Science Center (Newport, OR) to create works meant to open up dialogues between the local public and ongoing research at the facility. The final composition and documentation of the project was awarded Best in Show (community choice) at the State of the Coast conference in Gleneden Beach, OR.
