Charles Mingus Festival
Charles Mingus Festival - The festival exposes high school students to the music and history of Charles Mingus, concluding in a national jazz band competition. The music of Charles Mingus has a very distinct sound but his look was also very distinctive. This inspired me to create a detailed silhouette featuring his iconic facial hair and sunglasses. This gave a modern look to the competition and sparked further interest in younger student.
