Apple iTask, Toronto (Dec. 2000) - The main objective of this project was to study and conceptualize new communication systems, devices and techniques for people in the future. The goal was to research and develop a new communication product, both the physical characteristic and interface features. The product is very user friendly and very fashionable. It is geared towards group messaging and information gaining and sharing, particularly in a family setting. The product acts as a communication and information hub that may link numerous people with varying schedules and can be located in the kitchen, idealy on the refridgerator. The product offers up to the minute general information via wireless internet access, as well as a messaging service for groups who are constantly on the go. The product is also a command post with tasking and reminding features. The underlying objective is to eliminate unorganized note pads and written messages in the home or work place, in exchange for, a more personalized and organized information sharing system.
