Towson Town Center Concepts - Created while employed with Carter & Burgess, Inc.
Towson Town Center Mall recently went through major renovations. As a result, the Mall was in need of a new set of environmental graphic elements to compliment the new architectural design direction.
The design team created concepts that were inspired by the local area’s well-known and beautiful gardens. The 4-color scheme represents the general colors seen within an outdoor garden environment during the course of a day: sunrise (oranges), morning (greens), afternoon (blues), and sunset (violets). The translucent sign panels and lattice work are intended to represent the multiple layers of texture, shapes, and shadows found within a garden.
Role: Designer
- Assisted with the design development of conceptual sign family forms, shapes and graphic treatments
- Assisted with specifying general material and fabrication detailing
