Kids Own Book Factory
The Book Factory is a unique book-making experience for children. It is a tailor-made installation, which was resident in the Model, Sligo during the Sligo Children’s Book Festival ( 6th – 10th March 2014) and is an innovative, immersive and creative story production experience for young children.
There are four areas to explore – an inspiration station, a studio, a library and a printing press – and everyone leaves the Book Factory with their very own book!
The Book Factory was created by the Industrial Design Department at Sligo IT for the Sligo Children’s Book Festival.
The 20ft x20ft structure is designed to be flatpacked, transported and easily reassembled with a construction time of approx 5 mins.
