It's electric powered and runs on magneto-hydrodynamic system, which is a system that propels through salt water with no moving parts but by pushing water back with electric current. Where propellers disrupt the water too loudly, this system allows propulsion to be much smoother and quieter. The form of the motor focused on the gesture of it pushing the boat gently and gliding through water.
