This was a remodel and addition project for a client located in Los Gatos, CA.
The client already had a stately residence on a large parcel of land. However, their home had a loft area/play area that was no longer being utilized, and they wished to convert it to have a few extra guest bedrooms and bathroom.
The project went into the design phase, working closely with building officials to stay in compliance with city ordinances. There came a point in the design where a full 3-D representation was needed to convey the design to the client.
After 2 weeks of teaching myself through video tutorials and hours of trial and error, I was able to create my first Revit project, and give the client a first-person perspective of the proposed addition.
The project was submitted for planning approval, and the design was given high praise by the building officials.
Unfortunately, an unforeseen issue required the project be sent for Design Council review, and the project stalled into stagnation.
