The artist that inspired the cityscape project is Romare Bearden, a African-American artist who was involved in the Harlem renaissance. A non-destructive technique i used was the gradient layer. The gradient layer adds a color/design to the image or background.I also used the FX to add shadows and lighting to my buildings, except I made them nonvisible. Then I used some layer masks on the window with filthy frank in it .My artwork reflects my neighborhood because it is a mixture of old and newer buildings with trees lining the blocks. A notable person who lives in the area is louis ck. I think my favorite part about this project was the placement of the buildings along with the color of the buildings against the background. I think i met most of the requirements for the assignment because I have my layers organized for the most part and the buildings are placed clearly.
