This design at the time of introduction had one of the thinnest bezel designs of any LCD based TV's. The high-gloss finish allowed HP to raise its brand to command higher price points and reduce manufacturing costs by eliminating painted parts. My contributions were focused on the metallic trim details and MediaSmart badge development for the higher-end models.
2007 HP HDTV - The high gloss finish was achieved by using highly polished tooling and scratch resistant resin in the injection molding process and requires no secondary finishing or buffing processes.
