Chengdu Taikooli Flagship Starbucks (2014/15)
This new flagship store was designed by John Boline who led the in-house Starbucks China Design Studio, which ensured that the stores reflect Starbucks passion for coffee; sharing Starbucks coffee knowledge and culture with Chinese customers. Housed in a prominent three-story building, the Starbucks Chengdu Taikoo Li flagship store is designed to grab the attention of Starbucks customers even before they enter its doors. Besides the large iconic Starbucks branding, customers will be welcomed by an outdoor bistro seating, thoughtful inclusion of real coffee trees, and a distinctive, but embracing, surprise of three large folding windows, each opening out to the district’s energetic vibrancy. As a Starbucks coffee-tribute and ReserveTM store, the first floor features an exclusive Starbucks ReserveTM interactive bar, which aims to facilitate greater engagement between the customers, and the Starbucks Coffee Masters, on the exotic and rare characteristics of each ReserveTM coffee.
