Youth Wheelchair - There are many physical and psychological changes taking place between the ages of 11 and 18. Young people's attitudes and beliefs towards life are developing, through their peers and authoritative figures. Their body begins to develop and they become very sensitive to this fact. A struggle begins to find their identity, some try and fit into a mold while others try and break it. Teens experiment, trying to find out where they fit in. Some try drugs while others find the books. Hormones are definitely flowing and the search for that special someone begins. Life revolves around being attractive and making sure someone of the opposite sex is looking your way. For most, confidence issues begin taking root, feeling good about yourself and what you are doing is a very challenging thing for this age group

Sustainable Community Devolpment - The waterfront Cornwall site presents rare and exceptional opportunities for the development of a Western Washington University satellite extension. The university has clearly expressed its need for additional academic and housing facilities as well as its desire to incorporate its programs within the Bellingham community. The City of Bellingham has defined its needs for restoration and reuse of the waterfront site and its desire to work with WWU. Designed to fill WWU's needs and incorporate the interests of the community, this site creates new opportunities for interaction between the university and the community.
