Renovation of Heritage Building
“Bapu Samaj” is a heritage building, in Delhi, honouring the “Father of the Nation” - Mahatma Gandhi.
The old building had to be converted to an auditorium while retaining the original aesthetics and historical significance of the building.
I led the team re-creating the original design of the building in absence of original drawings.
Designed the auditorium within the framework of existing structural. Incorporated adequate facilities like tier seating, utilities, office space, in the multi-level building, with a special focus on disability access.
The 3D-model of the proposed design, layout and also a walk-through were critical to getting the idea across to historians and city planners.
