light rock - Light rock seeks to add a physical semantic, slightly playful interaction, and movement to desk lamp to create a stronger emotional connection between the object and user. Through the act of rocking the lamp toward one's self, actively enagaging it, the light is activated by means of a mercury switch and acknowledges the user through light. When the user is ready to say farewell, he or she simply rocks the lamp back into it's non-engaged state until he or she wishes to interact again.
