My first voluntary project for The Medicine Garden was to raise £6000 to build a path. I decided to do this with a crowdfunding campaign. Armed with no budget, I successfully managed to achieve the target in the required six weeks using primarily social media. A highlight of the campaign was persuading BBC Radio Surrey to broadcast a week-long feature on their breakfast show about the garden and what we were hoping to achieve.
