Spirala Community Home is an architectural design competition held in Portugal.
Our approach had lots of design steps starting from site design to material design.
All paths in the site were computationally designed according to the reasonable slope for walking and load carrying.
The other step was material optimization. We suggested that olive waste could be a good building material for these kind of sustainable structures in this area which is famous with olive.
Finally we designed our brick units with the help of topology optimization method. Thanks to these method we were able to use less material and also efficient lighting condition.
These project won an honorable mention.
