The product features a circular rippled finger-grip and a 10 pointed star which can rotate freely around the centre point.
Each of the two "shell" halves can be locked to this central point. One half is smooth, the other has an internal nodule which catches on the tear-drop indentations and creates a tactile "click" each time the wheel is turned.
Both parts can be locked together when not in use.
In order to achieve an accurate prototype I designed the product digitally, drew up technical drawings and made a metal assembly on the lathe to very tight tolerances, all in order to cast the individual parts in resin to give a translucent final product.
I also produced a range of colours which can be mixed-and-matched to allow for some personalisation.
