The BELL SUPER AIR was the last project I worked on while at BELL HELMETS. The project began with in depth research with core users of removable chinbar helmets. Gathering insights, listening to user/athlete feedback, & asking tons of questions to ultimately inform & help guide the design process. Once the info was distilled & reviewed with the team I began with some quick sketches & half scale foam models carved by hand. I quickly moved into 3D (SolidWorks) to rough out the form & define proportions. The Bell Engineering Team did an amazing job bringing this helmet to reality.
