KEYSTONE FREERIDE

The KEYSTONE MIPS freeride helmet was a fast-track project to design & develop a simplistic ABS hard shell helmet with a removable slalom chinbar. To meet the tight timeline, this helmet had minimal 2D exploration and went quickly into 3D to define the volume, google lock-up, and vent details. Full size 3D prints were created to validate fit, function & to refine the mirror shot. Once the design was internally approved with the team, development with the Asia vendor began. All details internal & external were considered to meet cost and retain design intent. The result is a freeride helmet that meets the requirements of athletes, sales, marketing, and manufacturing while building upon the Bollé design language.
