BALL-NOGUES STUDIO | 256 uniquely shaped, CNC cut, plywood coffee tables are joined together to create a sculptural veil for the University of California Los Angeles Schoenberg Music Hall. By creating a continuous surface, the linkages behave as one structural entity, and by securing the boundaries, as a membrane it relaxes into its form found shape with continuous surface tension.

Once the surface reaches the ground, the tables flip to become seating arrangements and performance spaces. After four months the installation was taken apart and the coffee tables were given out to students as furniture.
