Rotationally Moulded Chair
Rotationally Moulded Chair
Rotationally Moulded Chair
You are to design a chair that is suitable for production as a rotational moulding and should not exceed an enclosed volume of 1m3. Other than this the brief is entirely open although you should consider the following: Ergonomics – Does your design fit the target market? (As defined by you) Aesthetics – Does the design have an appropriate visual language? Tactility – Does the chair feel right? Especially in skin contact areas. Stability – Given the production process, will the design feel secure in use? Strength – Will the design support a 95th %ile user from the target market? Remember that the target production method is rotational moulding, you will be given the opportunity to visit a production facility to familiarise yourself with this process.
