The project consists of a series of smart drinking fountains, QR coded water bottles and an app for interacting with fountains.
The fountains can only be activated via the QR code assigned to on each bottle, thus avoiding wastage of water. Once scanned, the bottle is filled with water and the fountain will broadcast historical facts/info /stories of the site to the user's smartphone. Also when you are interacting with the fountains, the presence is signed on a map in the app, marking a "journey" to be completed in the city of Bologna.
Once the bottle is purchased, the QR code on it must be scanned with a smartphone and so the assignment of the bottle to the user will be activated.
The app allows you to see the location of the fountains in the various parts of the city and marks which of them have been visited.
When a bottle is scanned at a fountain, it will be automatically filled with a precise quantity of water, transmitting, meanwhile, the data to the user's smartphone.
