Fiber Clock - A clock designed using molded paper fiber; a material and manufacturing technique usually associated with packaging. It is designed for temporary or permanent installation, perfect for teenagers and young adults. Since clocks do not encounter a lot of wear and tear, they can be made from this alternative material, rather than such permanent materials such as plastic or metal.

aVoid Coaster Set and Trivet - aVoid is a simple and elegant coaster set and trivet. aVoid takes note of modern architectural elements like the Voronoi pattern. Random points are represented by spatial voids which create a unique mixed pattern of free form and natural geometric shapes. I used the pattern's graphic element as the form of the product

Midnight Acrylic Drum Lamp - I wanted to create a light using only one material. Using single component construction helps reduce manufacturing waste. The lamp has two separate shades rather than one because I wanted to give it more character than other drum lamps that tend to look flat and static. The two gaps create more depth and give the lamp an architectural look. The transparent smoke grey acrylic diffuses the light ever so slightly, giving the lamp a unique glow while still producing sufficient directional lighting.

Last Shot Ashtray - Sometimes the best design comes from necessity, and you just have to use what's around you. The 'Last Shot' ashtray highlights the beauty of experience with a "broken" ceramic shot glass acting as a vessel for cigarettes.
Felt Clock - Simple die-cut felt clocks with various screen printed designs. I wanted to design a clock using one material and simple manufacturing techniques. The Felt Clock is die-cut from recycled wool felt. Its simple shape reduces manufacturing waste and helps increase efficient use of material.

Hardware Clock - The idea came from concepts of ready-made items as well as design work I did for Amerock, a company that produces high-end knobs and pulls for cabinets. I had many left over hardware pieces they had given me for research and referce. I thought they would make for an interesting clock with the knobs as the numbers. This design would incorporate the use of ready-made components, and cut down on the need for new tooling.

Package Redesign - This excercise allowed me to redesign the packaging for Alessi's Magic Bunny Toothpick Holder. I wanted the new package to reflect the cartoonish natural of its designer Stefano Giovannoni
Package Redesign - The final design communicates what the product is and how it works. The packaging acts as an upselling tool by advertising other products the designer has made for Alessi.
P.O.P. Design for Package Redesign Project - The other part of this exercise was to design a Point Of Purchase display for the redesigned package.
P.O.P for Package Redesign - The final design is a battery powered piston mechanism moving several Magic Bunnies up and down/ in and out of their hats. This shows the function of the product. It is fun and intriguing to customers.
T.V. Nightlight - This projects objective was to design a novelty nightlight that would be sold at stores like K-Mart and Target
T.V. Nightlight - The light sensitive nightlight has different screens you can slide in to T.V., making it more fun and interactive.
