Magazine Ad - MESSAGE: Zoo York Burlesque PROBLEM: Zoo York needed to expand their image and create a new brand identity for their line of skateboards inspired by Jenna Jameson, without seeming too “porn” related. SOLUTION: Instead of focusing on raw sex, this campaign alludes to the temptation of the Big City while keeping their signature Zoo York style. Eye-catching magazine ads create a brand identity and feeling.
Newspaper Ad - Promotes the release date of Zoo York's new skateboard line.
Ambient Outdoor: Reverse Graffiti - Zoo York skaters would be equipped with a backpack full of rags and unleashed on large metropolitan cities. The skate team would be able to draw the Zoo York logo and other images related to skate culture in “reverse graffiti”. This method of outdoor advertising is unique and cost effective, as well as being eco friendly. If the city wants to remove the images all they have to do is rinse the area and the graffiti is gone. This will help encourage local governments to keep our cities cleaner.
Web Banner - Using simple web banners stay intune with the look of the campaign and is a less costly approach to staying visable in the target demographic by buying ad space on alternative sports and culture sites.
Web / TV Commercial - The commercial is a 15 second stop motion animation. Opening shot starts with a crumbled ball of paper that slowly starts to unravel, revealing more and more of the bustling city that lies inside. Eventually the paper becomes the frame and a Zoo York skater bursts forward ending with the logo and web site. The commercial is a minute long and is synced to hip-hop style beat by Quantic, “Time is the Enemy”.
