The project involved designing and fabricating a room divider that could fold out of its own way when both rooms needed to be used for a long dining table. The polycarbonate, Macrolux, was cut and hung from one side of the wall opening. Two surface bolts prevent the top edge from moving and repositionable rubber blocks are used at floor level to both add additional support to the partition and prevent sway at the bottom. Material was chosen based on weight, transparency and child-friendliness.
